Frida Tales

Let it be known that Frida is a trader. Never have I been her master, but really I don't dismiss her reasons. I annoy Frida incessantly. I pick her up even though she hates it and give her loud kisses on her furry head. She used to prefer my brother over me, then when he moved out she moved on to my mother, and then mom moved and well it was just Frida and Grandma. So it comes to no surprise that when I bring her up here to sunny California she instantly takes to Benny. Sure she likes me just fine but she goes gaga over him. This is where I miss Freddie! He was no trader.

But alas, thats just how she is! I think that if Benny moved out and I just lived by myself she would make her chewed up, beat up mouse her master before she ever let me.

Anyways, I let the little trader go outside sans leash for the first time and she had a wonderful time rolling in dirt, smelling other dirty cats, and trying to eat plants she shouldn't. Heres a little video of the rolling around part!

She is also the most spoiled cat ever because she has a bed in the living room for when she wants to hang out with us and then she just got a new bed for her primary sleeping quarters, also known as my closet.

This note from Janet has been sitting on the counter since last week. I didn't have the heart to just throw it away  because I  love notes from people. So decided to take a picture of it and store it away.

(Note from Ben's Mom 4/28/2010)

This day was particulary funny because she got lost (again!) and I found her walking up the hill backwards (backwards? yes. I still don't know why) But I was happy to see her mood changed quickly when she saw that I had put the pork shoulder in the slow cooker and it was almost done so she would get to make Benny and I a good bye dinner. It was really sweet of her and I wish that monday through wednesday I could have spent more time with her but sometimes life's obligations just get in the way.
